It is for team members and managers for use in planning content and events.

Syncing with Devices
You can sync the calendar or make it available for viewing and editing on a device, like phone, tablets and computers.

Note that you do not have to use Google Calendar apps on devices, but it can also work with MS Outlook, Mac Calendar, Linux app or whatever takes your fancy.
Be careful when using multiple and shared calendars on devices that you do not put your personal appointments in that shared calendar.
It can be easily changed if you do but always be mindful of which calendar account you put your appointments in. It could be compromising!
