Saturday 18th July 2026 – The Emperor’s Legacy Day 12pm – 8pm ALL communities and supporters of Fairfield House are warmly invited to celebrate the 134th anniversary of the birth of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie on The Emperor’s Legacy Day 2026. This multi-community celebration will hopefully begin with a prayer service by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in memory of the Ethiopian Royal Family, followed by contributions, performances, activities, and cultural presentations from BEMSCA, the people of Bath, Imperial Voice Radio, and the Rastafari and Ethiopian communities and supporters of Fairfield House. Followed by: Thursday 23rd July 2026 – The Emperor’s 134th Earthday Ises Hosted in partnership with the Rastafari Culture and Information Center, @rastafariculturecentre 12pm – 8pm On the 134th birthday of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I, a traditional Rastafari celebration will take place at Fairfield House. All mansions and nations are welcome to join in joyful celebration in the tradition of Ras Bandele Selassie. Ital food and drinks will be available.
